William is sooooo jealous!

Mom got a new blackberry- so I got her new MP3 player- I passed mine to Boo's and Lucy has one from her birthday- Jerry has one from Christmas a couple years ago.... poor William!

I filled the girls 'jute boxes' with mp3's yesterday and they've been listening to them non-stop since then. Of course... they use them without earphones and simultaneously so it's pretty annoying.... but cute.

Lucy's favorite songs- Barbie Diamond castle and Barbie Island Princess, Beauty and the Beast, Britney Spears, Rodgers and Hammerstien's Cinderella, and All the single ladies (put a ring on it)
Ella's favorite tunes- Disney Princess, Barbie Princess and the Pauper, The little Mermaid, Ben Folds, Pop Goes my heart from Music and Lyrics, and 'Doe a Dear' from the Sound of Music

aren't they cute??? they sing and dance all day!

My Little Pony Dresses

Hailey and Lucy ordered a My Litte Pony dress from me... then Ella had to have one.... and I couldn't leave Emma out.

So I put four of these together during Spring Break except for the embroidery, which I did before I left. The embroidery design is from http://www.stitchontime.com/osc/ ( I love her embroidery files!) and the dress pattern is Claire by Portabello Pixie. I love it, too!

Now, I think I'm gonna have to make one for little Alyssa Grace!

Here is Hailey's!

Here is Emma's!

Here is Lucy's!

Here is Ella's!

and modeled by Lina!

They have been hiding under my bed since we got here... come out kitties!
Maybe during naptime.

Making stuff for the nieces and nephews

I'm heading to Texas tomorrow! Yee-haw! I can't wait.

So I've been really busy making stuff for all my nieces and nephews.

I LOVE this nightgown for Daisy.
It turned out sooo perfect for her. I know she's gonna love it and be so beautiful in it. Can't wait to give it to her!

as you can see.... I might be making another one of these really soon!

Then for Dylan.... he requested a Nintendo Bomb and a money bag to go with his Wario costume I made for his birthday. They were both really fun to make and I know he will LOVE them too!

I used my cricut machine and some wonder under to make the $ sign on the bag and used these instructions to make the drawstring bag. It was fun!

Don't know how much I'll be posting during Spring Break. I'll be busy playing with all the babies and loving, cuddling, snuggling my new niece Alyssa Grace who will be born while I'm home! Yea!!!!!! I can't wait.

She told me she wants a gown out of it. hmmmm.....

Happy St. Patricks Day!

Here's some pictures of the kids in their ties- which were a huge hit at school and around town. We also made green chocolate chip oatmeal cookies- yumm!

I usually don't get into this holiday. I know.... Shocker.
But... William was so excited about it this year.

and I wanted to add the plans for William's leprechaun trap... I think they're really cute!

this is the leprechaun walking into the school

and these are the blueprints for the actual trap- William Scott's this is the plan

William's weekend project

There's a leprechaun loose at William's school, so all the kids had to make a leprechaun trap. He had sooo much fun. This is a perfect project for kids whose Mom's have more crafty things than should be humanly possible. We used fabric, pipe cleaners, poly fill, pom poms, glitter glue, glue gun, stapler, sizzix machine, paper, nets, ropes, you name it! He was so proud and if he wins- he'll get to be on the news.
We'll see.

I DO wear jewelry.

Told you.

Megan and Judy didn't want me to have this necklace that belonged to my Granny.
They said I would never wear it... because I typically hate jewelry.
But I LOVE this necklace.

I just wanted some proof out there that I will wear it.
If I can hide it from Boo's... she's so happy Mommy had on a beautiful necklace!

oh... and look at this adorable headband I got for Megan's wedding!

Hooded Towel Tutorial

I've been asked to do this several times. So I did it today.
It's the first tutorial I've ever done. So email me if you have questions.
(These instructions make two hooded towels)

****If you use my tutorial, please link back to my site****

Materials: Two bath towels, the same color- it doesn't matter what size or quality. (Although, I prefer the cheaper, smaller ones because they dry faster and more will fit in the wash.)

One hand towel the same color
matching thread
the new Beyonce CD to dance to while you're embroidering

Optional: Embroider designs on both sides of the hand towel- as close to the edge as you can. (My designs were digitized by my little sister, Megan- thanks Megan!)

***Make sure you use WSS on top of the towel so that the design doesn't sink into the terry cloth***

Then cut your hoods- measure 9.5 inches from the front edge and cut. You can make these smaller or larger for younger infants or toddler children- just measure their heads.

You'll be left with a piece like this to float around in your scrap bin forever waiting for a use. I can't tell you how many of these I have laying around.

Then you will fold the hoods in half and stitch the center back seam. I use a 1/4 seam and serge the edges so that those little loops don't flake off everywhere.

Then, find the center back of your bath towel and pin your hood to it- matching center backs and making sure that right sides are together.

Stitch in a 1/4 inch seam making sure to back tack at the beginning and end and then reinforce stitch with a zig zig next to the seam.

You're done! Trim seams and try them on your happy kids.
... or your sad kids... because this one is for her cousin and her sister.
