Throw back Thursday- Judy's Prom Dress

Hi,
I'm Nicole's mom- Beth . She wants me to guest blog sometimes. I'm fifty years old, the mother of five, grandmother of eight beautiful grandbabies. Sewing has been a passion since I was a teenager. Since I'm an old gal, I thought I'd start with some things from the past. This is my youngest daughter, Judy's, senior prom dress. What a color huh? She loved it! She found the taffeta first in this very bright hot red/pink color and wanted a pattern that called for an overlay of chiffon. Believe it or not, we found it. We went down to the outlet shops in Dallas- dug around all the shops and found a perfect match. She loved it and her date had no trouble picking her out in a crowd. Judy is 5' 10", so it's always a challange to sew for her because I have to lengthen everything. But she's fun too because clothes just look good on someone tall. Take care.
