My Averkamp dress

It's called the Averkamp dress, because a family friend of ours used to wear these color clothes all the time in high school. This dress just reminds me of Lindsey... hence the name.

I got the fabric off (my favorite) the cheapy Wal Mart shelves for $2.00 a yard. It has a really soft great feel and was incredibly easy to worth worth.

I haven't decided if I like the brown or blue tank/shoes with it yet... maybe I'll wear them both. You can't really see it in the pictures... but the fabric has that same blue sprinkled throughout. It's really pretty.

The pattern is McCall's 5423- I liked this one so much, I decided to make another with a few minor changes. The length- as you can see- made it a bit smaller (cause I am slowly losing weight) and I took up the neckline a little so that it wasn't so low cut. I'm really happy with the result. Everyone should make this dress- it's so comfortable, is easy to make, and fast.

Thanks to Jerry and William for taking the photos... I guess you can tell which one William took. Lol.

I have sooo many things to show you... but not enough time to blog about it.
I am going to post a bunch of things on sewforum... so if you're not a member, head over there and create an account. It's awesome!

Cute dress! I like the brown top best but, I'm pretty boring with colors.
