Ella's fabulous dress!

I told her it was fabulous... and now she keeps calling it that. So cute!

She picked this fabric out (from Hobby Lobby) for her birthday and I didn't get it done in time. No worries. She had plenty and she loves it now, too. I was so proud (and shocked) that she didn't chose pink. My baby's growing up..... (va-klempted...)

She looks so beautiful in this color, though. Her big blue eyes just shine.
She wore it to the store the other day... you should have seen all the funny looks we got. Mostly young girls and old ladies- just smiled at her! Better than the reaction we got when I let William wear his "fancy" pants out. hhahahhahahahhahaha.

I don't care what my kids wear out... as long as they are dressed.

I made this dress out of a pattern I was testing. I won't review it here.
The made the fabric flower by running a long basting stitch down the length of two scraps and then gathered it up, sewed the button, and hot glued it to an alligator clip. I love it. Don't laugh if you catch me wearing it in my hair....

Here's the "fabulous" photos:

know I couldn't just chose a couple... they look so cute.
Ella wore it for three days straight.

ok she is FREAKING cute. i had a favorite dress growing up. it was purple whale corduroy. one week my parents were out of town so my mom (why?) hired 5 different babysitters. can you guess what happened? every morning they would say "ann what do you want to wear today" and i'd say "this dress!". so when my mom came home, she asked each of the babysitters how it went with us, and if they got us dressed for school, made our lunches, etc. so when she asked what i wore, and realized what i had done, she was MORTIFIED thinking the teacher probably thought i only had one dress :) she sent me with a note that said she was out of town :)
