Remnant Pajamas

Can you ask for anything better than a pair of silky pajamas for about $4 max?
no... you can't... that's Amazing!

Well, Ella kept pulling this flannel backed satin scrap (that I took from my Mom's sewing room) from my scrap pile and wrapping it around herself as a dress. (This is a common every day activity for both my girls.... sigh)

Anyways... about the third day in a row, I was like... honey, do you want me to make you something out of that. Of course, she wanted a dress- but there was only about 1/3 yard.

I also had these two remnants from Hobby Lobby that I picked up to make Barbie dresses and never got to. So... we stitched them together and made these (slighty crazy, but somewhat charming) remnant jammies that cost about $4 including the pattern!

I love it!

I used Butterick 6659 for the top- with a few minor adjustments: I lined the yoke instead of using bias tape- which I loathe- at the top and also (as a suggestion from my Mom who is a genius) lined the ruffle with another fabric a little longer to create a longer ruffle since I didn't have enough. Man! She is so smart!!!

Ella kept telling me she liked the jammies, but she DID NOT LIKE HER HAIR!!!! hahahhahahahhahahhaha she's so funny!
