Ella's Mummy Costume

Well..... Ella REALLY wanted to be a mummy for Halloween last year and I talked her out of it.

This year she asked again and again I tried talking her out of it. Until... I started dogging my sister in law for not letting my niece be what she wanted for Halloween.
The guilt got to me, so I decided to let Ella be an ugly mummy....

and I'm so glad I did. I absolutely love how it came out and Ella is thrilled.
She is the most beautiful mummy I've ever seen.

I used a clown pattern for the body and then just sewed on strips of muslin that I tore into 1.5 inch strips. I used pink thread (as a suggestion from my Mom) to girly it up and also added the heart and the little bows. It took a LOT longer than I thought it would to do all of that- but I'm sooo happy with it.

Now I just have to figure out how to make her head looked wrapped up. If you have any ideas on how to do it- please comment! She wants everything wrapped up except her eyes... so her fake eyelashes with glitter will show... hahahhahahahha. She's so funny.

Here's some pictures of Lucy getting into the modeling action.
She's wearing a dress up dress Grandma made her!

and here's a couple of them together.

Ella keeps saying her name is Momma Mummy because of this adorable new Halloween book we got from William's book fair at school. It's so cute!

Now to make my Halloween costume! Yay!
