The Itsy Bitsy Spiders

Okay... here are some outfits I have been working on (on and off) for a couple weeks.

I decided to try an Ottobre pattern- since my Mom has bought me several of the books and I've never done one.... whoops.

It was easy to trace off and make... but man! This skirt was intricate. There are three pieces cut to three different lengths a, b, and c in each gore (8 gores all together) My brain was getting so confused... which ones I had cut in length a, b, or c and of which fabric and making sure they weren't side by side... ugh. It was exhausting and I definitely made some mistakes. I'm pretty sure I will never make this skirt again....
but I'm overall pretty happy with how it turned out. The twirl-a-bility is fantastic!

I made the two little shirts to match this morning. What a sigh of relief... they stitched out so beautifully and were sooooo easy and fast! I made them both before my doctor's apt. this afternoon. The designs are from Pickle Pie and they match these adorable little hair pretties! Love them!!!

Lucy's been singing the Itsy Bitsy Spider all day. That makes the whole thing worth while... she is so darn cute!

OH MY GOSH NICOLE! Absolutely adorable!!!!! The skirts are fantastic - I'm sorry to hear they were so much work. I am always tempted to purchase some Ottobre magazines, but if it tried your patience, I probably never would have gotten it done... You are an incredible seamstress. xoxoxo
