February already....

Whoa! I can't believe it. I seems like I just got home from Christmas vacation.

William has another snow day today. ugh. I'm already tired of it- not William being home, of course, but the snow. I guess that's the Texan in me. It was cool for one day, but now I'm really sick of it. I could NEVER live up north. I'd never go outside!

Plus... it's sooo hard to get good pictures when you have to take the little ones outside in the cold. However, I made Boo's do it anyways (in the cold- not the snow)

.... sorry Grandma.... but I didn't have any good pictures of Ella in the flower girl dress I made. She only froze for a few minutes. I promise.

and here I let her come in the house to get some photos of the gauntlets (my FAVORITE part)

I LOVE this dress (not nearly as much as Ella does... she wears it everyday)
I wanted my flower girls to have it at my wedding, but sadly we planned my wedding in three months and Mom was already making my wedding dress and my sisters and cousins bridesmaids dresses. I wasn't quite the seamstress back then as I am today... so I didn't get these. Considering I had three flower girls I guess that was asking a lot. hahahhahahhahaha

But I was so thrilled when I had the chance to make it for Ella. There were a LOT of first for me in this dress. I've never done piping inside a seam like that before... and believe me, there are a LOT of mistakes! Also making all the little loops for the buttons on the gauntlets, putting netting in the dress bottom and also lining the 'poofs' with netting. But I'm really happy with the way it came out and I'm so glad I made it. I almost chickened out, but finished it the day of the wedding.

Now it's just another dress up dress! Look how happy my princesses are!

Do you guys let your kids play in fancy dresses after you make them???

Beautiful dress and Ella. Aly's numbers went way up again. Poor Baby, Tammy, Buddy and Aunt Mary.

You're such a fun mommy! Once I figure out a theme for Carter's birthday (in 3 months) I am going to have you make a birthday shirt for him! :)
