How to really stick it to your daughter

Oh... the joys of a head strong 4 year old.

I can't really blame her... I'm a stubborn ole' hard head myself. She definitly comes by it naturally.

But.... coming up with punishments and consequences for her can be so hard.
But I finally came up with one that works!

Ella LOVES her princess dresses/accessories as you all know.

So, the other day when she was shouting, "You're ugly!" to her little sister at the top of her lungs I got this bright idea.

Me: Come here Ella and take off that dress right now.
Boo: Why Mom?
Me: Because if you aren't going to act like a princess, you cannot dress like one.
Boo: OKAY FINE!!!!
Me: Let's go in William's room and get some clothes.
Boo: FINE!!! I DON'T CARE!!!!
Me: Ella, that's a very ugly way to behave, so you have to dress ugly today. When you start behaving nicely... you can dress nicely.

Then take her to the store like that and Lucy like a princess.

What do you think? Is she mad or what?

I love it! Good luck with the hard head. I raised one who is now raising one so she's getting her payback. LOL

Ha! It is hard coming up with punishments for your kids sometimes. I have 2 very head strong little ones and I'm still trying to figure out what kind of punishment will really work with them!!

Oh love it. I have a really hard time coming up with things that work with Faith...and I'm honestly a little worried Lily is a bit stronger willed than Faith (something I never thought was possible). Maybe I'll try this!

Okay, but I can see this backfiring. Afterall- her brother may now think he has free reign to act ugly since he is dressed like that already, lol. But that was a great idea, maybe it will make her think first.
