Sweet baby sets

...are one of my favorite things to make!
Usually when I am recruited to make one, I have pretty specific guidelines for color choices, fabric choices, themes... whatever. A lot of the time, people are asking me to recreate something they saw somewhere else... I can do that... but it's not much fun for me.

That's why I love when my Aunt Sherri asks me to make something!!!
She gives me a budget and says 'just make something cute."

Woooooo Hoooooooo!
So... do you think it's cute?

I found these fabrics last time I was in Dallas and just fell in love with them.
I only got small pieces, because there was about 1000 fabrics I 'fell in love' with. sigh.... okay, so I love them all. So, shoot me.

I do my fabric shopping according to what cute embroidery files I have on hand and I have so many cute little birdies right now, that I just had to have it.

Here's the back of the bib and burp:

the fronts:

This 's' is from Planet Applique it's a freebie font when you join the yahoo group.

This little birdie is from ggdesigns. So cute! I added the little flowers which are all the rage at my sewing desk right now.... if you haven't noticed.

Then I took some of the little flowers and tacked them onto this onesie.
.... I know. Isn't it cute??? Kinda makes me want another baby... okay. It REALLY makes me want a new baby- but what doesn't???

and, of course, a hooded towel. This one is for an infant- so it's a little smaller and with this sweet whirly bird from Planet Applique. I've been dying to use this one since I bought it ages ago.

Well... I hope you like it, because I am going to make up some more today to send over to Alana for the benefit. Please check out this post if you would like to donate something. Thank you so much to everyone who has offered to help, so far. It really warms my heart- the kindness of people sometimes. Thank you.

and if you haven't entered in the give-a-way for the 'love your lunchbox' pattern- remember to go do that. Today is the last day to enter. I will pick someone sometime tomorrow.

Have a great Tuesday everyone! Mine started good: snuggles from Lucy, kisses from my husband, the other two playing quietly so I could 'rest' and then some warm cinnamon roll oatmeal. yummmm......

I keep drooling over the flower app pattern, but haven't bought it yet. You are wearing down my noble intentions. Pretty soon GG Designs is going to have more of my money, LOL!

What a cute little baby set! I love to make stuff for babies.

Do you have a pattern for the baby burp rag or do you just free-hand cut?

All of them are so stinking cute! Do you know I haven't embroidered anything with my machine in over a year??? Isn't that crazy? I need to get my Embird set up on the Mac (with Parallels) and stitch something this summer! I have a ton of cute designs. LOVE birds here too (which you probably already knew!)
