Please don't ask me for anything!

Because I'll probably say yes and I'm running out of time to get things done for my month long sabbatical that is rapidly approaching.

I can't wait!
But, I have to pack, clean, wash clothes, clean some more, get things in order, pack up sewing projects, clean out my car, shop for snacks..... ugh.

It's so much work to leave your home for over a month!

I finished up the last of the sewing projects I had committed to yesterday and just in time, too. I had to pay $18 to get this one shippped out in time. UGH!!! There goes every cent of profit. Oh well..... it was SUPER fun to make.

This is probably my favorite hooded towel I've ever made.
I really like the ruffles on this one and ,of course, the little flowers. I heart those so much!

Here's some other photos of it:

...and the whole time I'm making this towel, I'm wondering. Wondering why. Why don't I make this kind of stuff for my own kids? I don't know... but I'm going to start.
Soon.

oh... and last night I went on a date for our anniversary. It was so fun! We went to Outback (my favorite restaurant.... and NO! I'm not partial- just because I worked there for 3 years in college) and then we saw a movie- Knight and Day. Want my review? Cute and silly- a little too long (I was missing the babies about 30 mins before it was over) but a good movie to see in the theatre- a lot of good action.

I couldn't find anything to wear, so I took this little black dress that my Mom got my sister at Ross for a steal- then I stole it from her. I cut off this thingy that was at the waist.... I never liked that thingy. I prefer bright colors.

Then I sewed the side seams back together and then tied a bit of knit around me in a bow (so that it would match my shoes) ahhhh... my adorable zebra shoes that I had to have that I never thought I would get a chance to wear.

And... I only tripped once.

As much as it hurt me to leave the kids behind... I don't know why I feel that way... sick to my stomach when I leave them.... but we had a good time. A great time, actually. I love my husband. I miss going on dates with him.
And he loves me, too, even though I didn't clean the living room.... obviously.

Your anniversary dinner sounds better than the hot dog I had. You looked cute. Ella too. Hurry but drive safe.
