As you Like it Dress

This is such an overdue post of some dresses I made back in July. Things have been so hectic around here... but I'm so happy to finally share this with you.

I got to test the Any Way You Like It Dress by happy together and let me tell you.... I'm in love with it. I've made two already, but I have plans for more... many more!!!

It just has so many possibilities to it! I love that it ties in the back, especially since I made these a couple days after Lucy broke her arm. I hadn't packed many clothes that she could get her arm into, so this pattern testing came at the perfect time. The great thing about dresses like this, too, is that they look great layered with little t-shirts underneath or sweaters on top! I love clothes like that.

I made this version first:

I got all the fabrics from my Mom's sewing room. Aren't they fabulous! I love this dress. I made the little fabric flower, too. I love that!

Lucy wore this to the Dr. office to get her cast on and we got SO many compliments on it.

Then... I liked that one so much, I decided to make another.

I put the little ruffle and buttons on the bodice this time, also adding a band at the bottom and the little flower applique from Planet Applique.

I've always loved this fabric from Hobby Lobby, and Mom had some in her sewing room- leftover from this dress she made my littest sister- so I used it. Yea! I love using Mom's fabrics!

Look how little Boo's was... :(

My favorite little hair clips were a necessity, of course. How cute are these???

You know, GGDesigns has some new ones, too and they are so cute. Go check them out! I got the Scotty Dog for FREE, because I'm signed up for her newsletter!

I can't wait to make a matching outfit for them. te he he
