Hailey's Princess Aurora Dress

And #2 is done.

I'm not as thrilled about it as the Belle one.

I don't know why??? I made the exact same size, but this one seems big to me.
And the applique on the top didn't go as planned. It's so difficult to embroider on satin. Urrg!

Still... I think she'll love it.
It's much fuller. I added a LOT more fabric to the skirt- a whole 60 " width for the front and back.

That lends itself to a much more satiny, swishy, twirly, fun skirt.

Great for dancing, curtsying, and other fun girl stuff.

Ella loves that it's sleeveless.

Again... I used this pattern for the dress and this tutorial to transform it to Sleeping Beauty.

The applique that I used on the bodice is from this set.

Lucy didn't want to be left out of the photo shoot fun, so she quickly grabbed her Sleeping Beauty dress and joined me and Boos.

Isn't she a cutie pie!

I love my sweet princesses!

...and on another note....
I think Ella may be flipping thru my fashion magazines.
Look at her little Vogue pose. Mama is so proud.

It's so cute. What's not to like. Maybe it's the thick seam allowences from all the extra material making the waist seam stick out more. I think it's adorable and I'll be it was a lot faster to put together than Lucy's traditional Sleeping Judy.

Precious, I always love all of the dress up clothes you make them. I need to try, but haven't gotten up the nerve to attempt any yet. And Ella's Watermelon outfit is def one of my faves!!!
