My First Quilt- finally complete

Okay... remember this.

I never could get the free motion quilting looking good by myself, so I took the easy way out and took it to a professional.

What a beautiful job they did. I just love the little flowers and hearts in the pattern. Cute, cute, cute!

They also hand bound it for me with the binding that I made. I was going to do it myself, but when she said that it would only be $10 to sew it by hand... how could I resist. I hate handwork!

I still can't decide which label to use, though, or how to sew it on. I guess I should have thought about that earlier. Any ideas? Which label do you guys like?

It's hard to get a good photograph of it, but here are a few more. I'm pretty proud.

I would like to thank Care once again for her awesome tutorial, without which I would certainly not have tried this.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I can't wait to give this to my sweet niece... although it might be 'slightly' used by the time it gets in the mail.

And I'm off to the fabric store. Back to the regularly scheduled program.

That came out so nice! I always love how different fabrics just "make" a quilt alive.

Gorgeous!! You've done a beautiful job! I hope you'll be making more! :o)

Oh, and I like the middle label -- the little daisies and the green match the backing so nicely. It's perfection!

You did a wonderful job. You SHOULD be proud! I also love that you quilted the back with multiple fabrics. Great idea!

Pretty! I made my first quilt myself not too long ago. I made it from my fianc├ęs old t-shirts that became way too big on him after he lost weight :)
