Watermelon madness!

I made this outfit a while back, but haven't had a chance to post about it.

I know... I know. I say it all the time. But this really is one of my favorite outfits I've ever made. I love all the little accessories, too. :)

All the embroidery files for the accessories are from Pickle Pie Designs.
The little purse is Ella's favorite, but I really love the little hair pretty!

The pattern I used for the skirt is the Lacey Claire by Sara Norris. I just LOVE how this little skirt came out and was so excited to learn a new technique, called 'puffing'. Ella loves the twirl factor.

I love how cute it is.

See... how cute.

She is so sassy with her little purse. :)

And the shirt was drafted out of this book I bought a LONG time ago.
I know. I know.
I still haven't made the Feliz- but I do have a couple of the pattern pieces traced out. Stuff just keeps coming up.
At least I made one thing out of the book. And I LOVE this little top, too.
So easy and so cute.

The applique is a FREEBIE from Lynnie Pinnie! This is the second time I've used it. I just added the words Yummy in Embird, but I can't remember where I got that font. If you really want to know, just let me know and I'll figure it out.

I usually don't like watermelon stuff or even the color combinations of red and green (except at Christmas) or hot pink and green, but for some reason... it was just speaking to me. ??? It's nice for little girls to have clothes that aren't all pink.

Ella must've agreed with me, because she didn't take the outfit off the entire day (which is pretty much un-heard-of) and she also carried the little purse all day, filling it with her favorite little things until she passed out on the couch that night.

I just love when I make something that we both adore. What an accomplishment!

I was glad to see this skirt made up in your version. My DD won this pattern on Sara's blog. I like the colors you used.
Did you see LindaS' watermelon outfit for Moriah? Her top is similar to yours, and some of the same fabric.
