It's national sewing month.....

hmmmm..... well. That doesn't really make a difference to me.
It's National Sewing Day just about every day at my house, but I still think it's cool.

Speaking of cool things....

Did you know you can email your pdf patterns to your kindle.
Yes. Wow. Awesome. Love it.

Oh!
Do you like my Kindle cover?... I made it a WHILE ago but never posted it.
I love it..... :)

and I LOVE my kindle. Everyone who likes to read should have one. You don't even have to turn the pages!!!!

Here I am at William's football practice this afternoon, in my pink polka dotted rain boots and my Kindle.... sigh.

Here's some other cuties at football practice:

One of my cuties at home:

and here I am about to get down to business.

I have a new pattern to test... woooo hooooo!.... my new tracing paper that came in the mail, my little Rainbow Brite notebook and pencils from my sister-in-law (Thanks Sharon), my trusty pink Fiscars, some cute new cordoroy plaid from Wal-Mart, my sweet little Christmas cat pincushion and some Wheat Thins.
I'm ready to go!

If you need more inspiration for sewing month- check out this blog. She is doing a bunch of stuff for Sewing Month or you could join this Boutique Challenge Group on facebook, join in the fun challenge with this skirt tutorial on sewforum, you could do the Decades Challenge which is starting back up this week.... or you could do all of that, plus test 3 patterns the same week, plus make 6 or 7 Halloween costumes, 6 flower girl dresses, baby gifts galore, and complete a few orders for customers- like me. Dang..... I better get off the computer! It's gonna be a late night!

I don't have trouble finding inspiration to sew... I have trouble saying no to inspiration. I want to make EVERYTHING!

Love the cover and those boots. If you ever see them in square size buy them for me.

Hi Cole I love the bows in your girls hair. I have been looking for a pattern to make my own. I was wondering what pattern you use. Don't want anything too complicated. Do you use one from "You can make it"? Lyn

Hi Lyn!
I do make the girls bows myself... actually the ones Lucy is wearing were made by my sister-in-law, Sharon.

They are really super easy. I don't use a pattern at all.

I will do a tutorial on them in the next couple of days to show you how easy they are!

Don't buy a pattern!!!!

Hi Cole I was wondering if have done a tutorial on adding a tutu to a onesie or maybe a little tule skirt on a band that could be worn over a onesie. Seen them but not sure how to go about it. Lyn

Aw man! Now I just may have a big enough excuse to get a Kindle! I LOVE your pink one!

I can't wait to see what pattern you are testing. I am testing one right now too and it would be great to use a Kindle. Hm...
