YES! It was a LOT of work!

Thank you all so much for the sweet comments on my Kitchen Cutie Sets.

You're right. They were a LOT of work... more than I anticipated actually.
But when I set my mind to something... there's just no stopping me.

Inevitably, though, when you spend that much time on something, other things are bound to fall to the wayside. I am not Superwoman, ya' know.

This time.... it was the laundry.
Which totally doesn't matter for the girls and me. They are typically in one of the million dress up dresses we own or Au natural and I live in t-shirts. (which I have in surplus)

But, poor William, is lacking in the pants department.
So, he gets out the shower yesterday morning and asks for his clothes....
shirt- check.
undies- check.
socks- check.
pants- oh crap.
No pants!
And it's cold. No way he could get away with shorts.

So.... what do you do?
Dig thru the laundry to see if there is a pair that he can 'get away' with wearing dirty just one time.
No luck.
What was I thinking??? What seven year old little boy can keep snot, mustard, and all other kinds of other grime off his pants? Not mine.
They are all totally gross, dirty, and wrinkled.

This is when I turn into Superwoman and cut out and make a pair of pants in less than 20 minutes.
Thank you easy fit pants pattern that I already have traced off in William's size.
Thank you Mom for cute, camo, sweatshirt fleece that makes great pants.
Thank you William for sitting in your undies and watching t.v. while I sew your pants before you go to school.

He looks irritated at first.....

so I kept apologizing for not having his pants clean.

But then.... he said, "Wow, Mom, these are soft... I love them!"

And then he gave me this when he got home from school.

so.... even when I don't do the laundry.... I'm still 'nise'.
sigh.... catastrophe averted.

Until the next time, I bite off more than I can chew.
I'm so lucky to have such forgiving and tolerant family members.
I love you guys. Let's do something fun today.

Okay come to Texas and help me finish Judy's dress. Now that would be fun. Judy went to work said she's really really tired. Poor baby.

Thanks so much for sharing that pants pattern. I'm definitely going to be buying it and I was excited to see that they have a tween to adult version too. I'm thinking I'll be owning both of those before long. Surprisingly, I'd never been to that website before!!!

Awww, that is so wonderful! The pants look great, and I love his note. My poor little guy needs more Easy Fits...all of his are capri length at this point!

I have been lucky that it has been warm enough for mine to get away with shorts for that very same reason. I have to go shopping for boy pants. I also have to make sleep pants. Asher(10) has gone to sleeping in his underwear. Oh I need to get more of them too. Some of those are size 6/8 not 10/12.

You are Supermom! There is no way I could have pulled that off, I have sent Xavier to daycare in jammies before, because I couldn't find a clean outfit in his size. Luckily, in the infant room he wasn't the only one!

Wow. I bow down to your mad Supermom skillz. I would have just dug in the basket for the least dirty pair!
