Day 3 Sophie's birthday- Three Peas in a Pod

Three peas in a pod...
has special meaning for me.

I have two little sisters.
We share/shared a business together- called Three Peas in a Pod.

I'm constantly looking for three peas in a pod things to give them.

Like these....which I got us for Christmas one year

or these... which I still want to get

So, naturally, when I saw this pattern I squealed for joy!

Sophie's birthday gave me the perfect opportunity to make one.
It won't be the last.
I think I'm going to have to have a set for myself, too.

This was the last of the toys I made, so I knew already to do my own faces.

I made them look like us.

The big, smiling, red-lipstick-wearing one is me. The oldest.
The smirking, light lipstick one is Megan. The middle pea.
And last, the sleepy, long eye-lashed one is Judy. The baby.

I knew my little sister would love them.

But the babies and even the big girls liked them, too.

Lucy even helped me make them by stuffing the little peas.

The only changes I made to the pattern, were the faces, obviously...
and I lined the inside with a pretty green satin instead of a second layer of fleece.
I thought it would be pretty and girly and also help little hands slide the peas in.

Here's the back with my little tag on it.

What a fun project.
This was by far my favorite thing I made Sophie!
