Ahoy Matey!

That's just about the cheesy-est title I can come up with.
You like that???

eh... me either, but I love this little outfit I made for my cousin who just turned one.

You might remember when I made his baby shower gifts... man! I can't believe he's one already.
well... actually he turned one a month ago, but his gifts were late... I just kept adding to the package.

This one is probably my favorite, though. I have more to show you later in the week.

I started with this pirate applique on the shirt.

Then happily remembered this fabric I had from when William was into pirates, but I never made him anything out of it.
I think this is one of the cutest fabrics ever printed!

so... I cut him out some Easy Fit Pants

with this adorable vintage button I've had in the stash forever,
It was hard to part with....

and cuffs and ric rac trim.... swoon!

When I was describing it to my Mom, she said it sounded hideous.
See Mom! It's anything but hideous!!!

Look at the little pocket on the bum.

I've had that idea in my head ever since I saw Angie's adorable pj pants last summer. I still want to make some like that for me.

Ric Rac just makes everything so.darn.cute!

Then I added this little bib, since I liked the robot one I made so much!

And there you have it:

The most adorable pirate thing I've ever made.
I can't wait to see little Xavier modeling them!

Adorable! BTW, I just ordered a book I think you'd love. It's called "Making Clothes Kids Love" and it uses lots of different fabrics and bright colors. The patterns are included. Check it out on Amazon!
