We all scream for ice cream!

Have you guys seen this new pattern yet?
I got to test it!

... I know. I'm sorry. Don't be jealous.
It's sooo cute, huh!

I've already made two!

This one is for Lucy.

The first thing I thought of when I saw the pattern was ice cream scoops.
I don't know why... I just did.... so I went with it.

I dug out this adorable sprinkles fabric I bought at JoAnn's when I was in TX one time. I could only afford a 1/2 yard, so it's {sadly} almost gone... but I just love how it looks. I'm really trying not to hoard fabric anymore, just because I 'love it so much and might not be able to get anymore of it'. Do you guys do that, too?

I looked thru dozens of ice cream cone appliques before decided on this one from Lynnie Pinnie.

Then I had to use these little felt stitchies from GGDesigns for a matching bow... maybe that's why I had ice cream on the brain. You guys know how much I love these little things. :)

I just love the look with this sweet pink gingham fabric.

I've always had a thing for gingham, but lately it seems intensified, so I went a little crazy a couple weeks ago when fabric.com had it on sale.

Check this out!

Oh... and I have an orange one, too, that came later. So, needless to say, you'll be seeing more gingham projects from me.

It's so summery and girly, sweet and retro. I just love it!

Perfect for a summer romper. Check out the back of this thing.
Could it be any cuter?

Lucy REALLY loves it!

Isn't she cute?!

She was helping me picnik these photos and she liked the 'boost' button. sigh....

I have to tell you, I was a little worried about this style for a big girl.
That's why I made it for Lucy first. After looking at the pattern photo, Ella didn't really want one, but after I made Lucy's she wanted one bad.

We searched thru tons of appliques to pick one for her and {shocker} could not agree on one.
She wanted princesses... blech... and I wanted some kind of animal print.
I really wanted this cowgirl with cowprint ruffles on the bum... cute.

But we finally settled on this.
I finished it at bedtime, so I don't have any real good shots of it.
Yesterday it rained all day, but I think I'll be able to get some good photos of her in it today.

So... here's a sneak peek with a horrible photo just so you can see it on a big girl.
I love it.

I've been thinking about making one for each of the girls.... but I don't know.
It would be adorable....

look at all these sweet cousins.
After a make-over session during Spring Break.
Don't you just love Ella's eye shadow.....

oh... and guess what? It's the 5th and I haven't bought any fabric. smile.

I like the under eye sports makeup on Hailey and Lucy looks like she sat on a pin

Sooo Cute! The idea to use the ice cream applique with the ruffles mimicking the layers was creative genius! Especially love the chocolate with sprinkles topping...how perfect!

Love this! I've been looking for a ruffled sunsuit like this, but just keep finding baby/toddler sizes. Who's publishing this one? Pretty please? :) mamalusco at ortelco dot net

So cute! I love it. I do hoard fabric that I may not be able to get anymore of too...like it sitting on the shelf is doing any good? I'm trying to go into sewing with the mindset that everything I make is "special" and so I can use "special" fabric. So far it's not working:)

I LOVE the gingham. I was looking at it today - didn't buy any - and now I need to. :)

I think you should make them (the cousins)all one in different colors of gingham and let me take their picture in it.....and in return you could make one for Abby, because I am in love with this outfit!!
