Another mermaid doll!

I know. I know. I'm posting.
Can you believe it???
With these computer troubles and this trip to Dallas, I just haven't had the time to keep up with the blog. It's so hard in the summertime...
but I'm still sewing and fabric shopping and testing patterns and dreaming up more tutorials and patterns.

I have a million and one things to show you guys... but I've decided to start with this cute little mermaid doll I made for a customer. It's just so summery!

I made her using the Bit Of Whimsy Dolls Mer Mae pattern, but changing the embroidery on the face (like last time). I've learned my lesson about that. There's no reason I have to make the faces the same.

I like eyelashes and cheeks and sweet closed eyes!

Sewing for this customer was the best! She reads the blog and knew that I HATE to make the same thing twice, so she let me make it in another color! I love the purple and green, too.

I also changed up the ruffle a little bit.

But kept the stitch and stack flowers on the bodice.

And I did change those arms to be slightly larger. I really like that better.

Aren't these two cute together!?

Ella REALLY wanted to keep her.

But, she had to get sent to the birthday girl.
How sweet are these pictures?

I especially love the one in the middle... and how she's silking the hair, just like Lucy does.

I really need to make one of these for Boo Boos.

Maybe blue and pink..... or yellow.... since that's her new favorite color.
hmmm.....
