Strawberry Shortcake Modkid Abigail

Well, you know I've been leafing thru my Mom's patterns while I'm here for the summer. (so fun!)

I found lots of them I wanted to try out while I was home and this little Modkid Abigail was one of them.

I wasn't really sure about the picture on the front (well, actually, I hate it), but I had so much luck with the Modkid Kyoko that I decided to try it anyways.

I figured using this adorable Strawberry Shortcake knit from my Mom's stash, that I couldn't go wrong.

I've been begging Mom for this fabric for a while and she finally gave in to me!

I'm still not sure about this design. I love the pattern- the fit is great, it was quick to make and very comfy.... but I'm just not sure about the design.
I may try some other fabrics and maybe make it into a shirt and see if I like it better.

I added a little bow to the front and I like that a lot better than before.

I also got to use Mom's coverstitch machine and I am so in love with it.
Check out this hem!!!

Ella REALLY loves it and couldn't wait for school to wear it.
She made it a total mess the first time she wore it, getting in the pool and playing with sidewalk chalk..... sigh.

The great thing about it,though... it's knit!
So it just washed right up and dryed perfectly without ironing.
I love that.

Very cute Nicole. Ahnalin wants me to make one for her. It looks really soft and cozy too!

I like that dress and like Hailey's version I made too. The coverstich machine Nicole is using is a Janome 900. It works wonderfully. I've been very happy with it.
