Pink, black, and zebra apron

Another installment of the summer of apron making with my cousin.

This one turned out so cute, she decided to keep it for herself instead of gifting it to the bride. ha!

...don't worry... we made another one for the bride...

I used McCall's 5997 and I think it turned out so cute.

Here's my littlest sister modeling it.

Isn't she beautiful?
I love having such beautiful models.

We all really liked the pockets on this pattern.
I really like apron pockets- for stashing my MP3 player or bits of stuff I pick up from the floor when I'm cleaning.

I wanted more pink on the apron, so instead of turning the pocket seam allowance under- I chopped it off and binded the edges with this handmade bias tape.
I really like it!

And... the back of the apron:

super cute!... but I'm not sure how practical it is to get on and tie yourself up.
I guess if you're wearing an apron like this, it's just for looks anyways.

*All fabrics are from JoAnn fabrics. I love JoAnn fabrics. I miss JoAnn fabrics... I can't wait to visit her again...*

In other news- William is feeling better and went to school today. He was so excited, he actually made it onto the bus this morning. The first time in 4 years that he's been ready in time for that.

Ella's first day is tomorrow and she can NOT wait.

Two in one day. Wow. I'm giving your name to Debbie at http://stitchesandseams.blogspot.com/ to test her wallet pattern she's going to try and sell. I love this apron. One of your cutest yet. I still can't believe Kourt didn't think her friend would like it.
