Mom's first quilt

well... not really, she's made quilts before, but this is her first quilt from the My First Quilt tutorial like the one I made Sophie.

We had so much fun working on this together and I got to go pick it up from the quilters on Lucy's birthday. I'm so happy with how it turned out. I hope Mom is, too. I can't wait to give it to her!

Most of the fabrics are from the Meadowsweet line by Sandi Henderson~ Michael Miller fabrics. They are just so pretty. Mom chose a rose quilt pattern and I just love how it looks all finished!

But my favorite part is the little tag we made. How cute?!

Cute.
But not as cute as this little guy.

My little helper.

Happy to help me in any way... including holding up the quilt with only one boot on {that's all he could find} in the freezing cold.

At least I'm getting my new fake fireplace tomorrow! whoot whoot!

oh.... and a couple more photos for Mom.
She got Lucy some live butterflies for her birthday and they finally came out of their cocoons and we let them free. Awesome, awesome project for kids. So cool! Every kid should get to do this once!

Thanks Grandma and Pops!

Oh, wow, LOVE the quilt. Is it a gift or does your mom plan to keep it? I just love the colors that were chosen and never knew there was such a thing as "the quilters". That might be a hobby I look into when my children are grown and out of the house. There is no way I can add any more crafting to my life!

Thanks for the pics Cole. I love it. Can't wait to see it in person. Lucy is adorable with her little butterflies. Glad she enjoyed them. Tell Willima thanks for freezing so Grandma could see the quilt. He's a sweetie pie.
