Alyssa's a Birthday Ballerina!

So... I told you that I would show you the outfit that made Alyssa really excited!

According to my sister in law, she wants to wear it all the time!
I couldn't be happier.

Isn't she just the cutest thing!?

She is very into mermaids and ballerinas and specifically requested a ballerina dress...
and this one is perfect for prancing and dancing and twirling.

Lucy wanted to keep it... really, really bad.

I used Jalie #2791 Princess Skating dress pattern and followed the directions to a t.
The only thing that I changed was adding the stretch lace to the sleeve instead of hemming it.
I really thought it needed some black to pop.

I wouldn't have thought to make a ballerina outfit out of these wild fabrics, but my niece told me that her favorite color was hot pink and that she wanted a hot pink ballerina outfit.

And while I'm still not sure I love the fabric combo... all the little girls just love it.
Lucy was so sad when I shipped it off.

I guess I should try to make her one. It's really an easy pattern to put together. I had all the fabrics on hand. The leopard came from Hancock's years ago. Ella fell in love with it and had to have it. The pink is swimsuit fabric and the mesh-y flesh fabric came from JoAnn's.

This is the same pattern that I used to make Ella's Christmas Carol Barbie dress and Hailey's non-itchy Marrying dress, so I haven't actually made the full outfit with the panties before this. Lucy loved them... hahahha... isn't she funny?

They both look adorable in. I'm sure Liz is doing less laundry thanks to this little outfit.

LOVE this! It reminds me of an ice skater's outfit. And the cheetah print is awesome! I wish I could do something like this, it is sooo unique and fun. Great job!
