Baby Blankets, Give-a-way, a sale, and a new baby!

Wooo hooo!
Four of my favorite things.
1. Baby Blankets.
2. A Fabric Give-a-way.
3. A sale.
4. A new baby!

I've been keeping something from you.

We got a new baby in the family~ introducing Miss Katelyn Rose!
Isn't she the most beautiful little thing!?
I've been working on some baby things for her and I've been so excited to show you.

I got a blanket bundle from The Bailey Girls fabric shop and I just CAN NOT say enough about the quality of these fabrics... or the sweet service from Jen.

I got a bundle with the softest, best quality minky I have ever seen. {You can not buy this at Hobby Lobby or JoAnn's!} I chose Michael Miller's Sweet Treats to go with it and even got her last extra yard of it! After I got the first bundle and made this sweet baby blanket, I had to get another one to make some coordinating stuff. I'll show it to you later. I'm still working on some of it. :)

Isn't this the sweetest combination.
Jen's blanket bundles are so nice, because they are cut to size already. I hate cutting minky!
They are the perfect size for baby and she also includes a PDF pattern for making the blanket with some great tips on working with minky and making the perfect blanket.

Awesome, right?!
I added a ruffle to mine, which I LOVE. I made it from knit this time, because it was the only fabric I had that matched perfectly and I just love how it turned out. I will definitely be doing that again. It's so soft.
I added this cupcake from Designs by Juju- it's my absolute FAVORITE cupcake in the applique world. I have used it SO many times, I can't even count.

I love this blanket bundle so much and I'm so happy that Jen is going to give one away right here on my blog. oh yeah!
You can choose one of the beautiful bundles or make your own from any fabric in her shop.

Here are some of my favorites:

I need to get that car one to make something for my new nephew coming in September! So cute.

I can not wait to give this one to baby Katelyn!

My favorite one on the etsy shop is the same one you have with the cars and trucks and blue minky. Ofcourse I am thinking boy prints right now. I would make it for my new grandson who will be born in October. She has some beautiful bundles.

Your blanket is so cute, but that baby is just beautiful!
I like the cars print for the boys and for a girl, I think I'd pick one of the Amy Butler prints.

Ooh, I'm torn between the Daisy Cottage patchwork kit or the Birch Forest kit--both are gorgeous. I've never wanted to sew a minky blanket before, but now I'm tempted to buy one without even having a baby in mind!

Congratulations on your new baby! She's gorgeous! Shes just calling to be cuddled isn't she? I bet you get a lot of attention when you take her out, give her a cuddle from this stranger?
Your blankets are lovely! I love the frills. I'm only a novice with a machine, but they just look so pretty and complicated!
I really like the yellow fabric with the animals. I might have to get that one on payday.

That is just precious! My favorite one is the tumble roses blanket. My hubby and I are planning to try for a baby sometime in the next year and if it is girl, that would be perfect! :) If not, then it would go to a baby shower!

Well Amy Butler's Love line is one of my faves.... But I am currently pregnant, but haven't yet found out the gender, so I would probably have to pick a gender neutral one, like the hedgehogs or the chevron stripe!
