Farbenmix VIDA

Okay... so, I made this a LONG time ago... like, in February or something....
but I'm sitting here waiting for my husband to let me use his computer and I thought I'd put something up on the blog. I started looking thru my old projects (because there's a ton I haven't posted) and pulled this one out because I already had the photos cropped.

I never posted it, because I'm just not that crazy about it. It took FOR-EVER to make and I thought it was going to be so cute while I was putting it together, but it's just not my favorite.

The good thing is: Ella loves it.
She wore it often, just like this with a white long sleeved t-shirt all the time in the winter.

I think the fit is awful. It's waaay too long in my opinion and kinda just like a big sack. I guess I like a little more structure or fit.
But I love the fabrics and the appliques.

This cat face is from Designs by Juju's Animal Face set. I love it.
The cat on the front of the dress is from her Crazy Cats set. I love it, too.
I wish it didn't have those puckers in the fabric, though... grrrrrrrr.

I combined a bunch of random flowers to make the design on the back. I think they're from Planet Applique and Lynnie Pinnie, but, honestly, it's been so long since I made this I really can't remember.

I can't even remember where I got the pattern. It's pretty hard to come by, if I remember right. I'm not sure if I'll make any more of them. If I do, I will definitely shorten it. Ella seems to really like it, but it was a lot of work for a jumper.

I love the bow, though.
I used GGDesigns kitty stitchies for the center.

So... there's my first, maybe last, Farbenmix VIDA.
Now, I need to get back on Mr. Cole's computer and work on that swimsuit pattern.
I really need to show you guys all the swimsuits I made, too.
It's been really, really fun!

I think the fabric is really sweet but, I do agree that it has an awkard fit. Oh well, at least it got lots of use!

That had to take forever

I love the dress, but I think the size is to big. Farbenmix is most of the times to long en wide. I have made Feliz last year and this year the size is right. (little bit wide)

Amelie (Farbenmix) is a fine pattern. Not to big only head is to small, if you use cotton with no elastic. I think this is pattern for you and Ella, because you can use embroidery and feels like a pyama.
