Ella's flower girl dress

I actually made Ella's flower girl dress for the Olabelhe contest back in March. This is the first Olabelhe pattern I've made. I just love the style of the bodice.

I was saving this Robert Kaufman fabric for me (for when I get thinner... ha.... ) and decided that was stupid. If I ever get thinner and am brave enough to sew clothes for myself, then I can just find other fabrics I love. I do love this one, so much, though.

I didn't do much to change the pattern, I just added the bow to the band.

I love how classic it is and Ella loves that it looks a little more 'grown up'.
She felt so pretty at the wedding!

I'm bummed out that I forgot to take her little hair-thingy that I made to match it.
I also forgot my make-up and all our toothbrushes.... oopsie.

She can wear her hair thing next time she wears her dress.
I just love all the little pleats at the top and on the skirt. It didn't take as long as I thought it would, either.

Look at that smile!
I'm so glad I cut into that fabric instead of letting it reside on my fabric shelf waiting for the day I decide to lose weight...

I've been eyeing that Olivia pattern, too. Yours turned out really lovely! And I appreciate you mentioning whether you made alterations.

I love that pattern, but I haven't bought it. The dress is darling and so is she!
