Anchor swimsuit make-over

I was so disappointed when the anchor swimsuit I made Lucy earlier this summer didn't fit...
so when I got to Mom and Dad's and saw that she had more of the navy blue star fabric, I had to do it over again.

I just love this swimsuit SO much.

It's the same pattern I used for Alyssa's Hello Kitty swimsuit, but it is sized very funky.
There is very little room in the bottom and it's actually pretty high cut for a little girls swimsuit.
I left the ruffles off this time, because they took forever to do and in the end, I just didn't think it added too much cuteness for the amount of effort it took to do them.

Plus, I guess Lucy's getting a little old for ruffle bums... sad.

It's also drafted really small. Lucy usually wears a 3 in ready to wear and patterns with added length.
I cut this suit in a 4 the first time with a five length and it was tiny!!!! Super tiny... tiny enough to fit her 2 year old cousin~ who looks so darling in it.
Ruffle bums are a good look on her!

This time I cut the 6 with a 7 length and it fits good. I'm just totally in love with it!
I wish I would've thought to get a picture of them together...

My sweet baby is getting so big....
