Ruffle Pants Weekend

I made 8 pair of ruffle pants this weekend!
The girls (and the boy, too) need winter clothes, so I just cut them out in bulk and assembly line sewed them up.

Now, I have to make a zillion shirts to match them... because as luck would have it, there's no shirt in their closets to match.

I also found these pants that I made Ella last spring that she has NEVER worn.
I don't know why? They are so darn cute!

So, I told her that if she wasn't going to wear them, that we were going to get rid of them.
Then she finally confessed that she loved the pants, but hated the shirt. I don't know why... I love it... but I want her to wear the pants, so I made her a new shirt that is more her style last night.

She loves it.

Who knew??
These pants have been hanging in the closet for months... now she'll probably wear them every week.

I got the fabric from my Mom and it is the best feeling stuff! It's a lightweight twill that doesn't wrinkle at all. I just loved working with it!

I appliqued the shirt with this peace sign applique with daisies. She is really into peace signs right now.
I guess she thinks they're grown up...

Also, she thinks she's too old for bows and I asked me to please just make this one a clip.

My little girl is getting so grown up.

I made Lucy some pants, too, and we actually found a shirt to match her orange minky Thanksgiving pants. Ella's birthday shirt from last year.

Of course, then she decided to run across the yard for the bus and got completely wet.

I had to run and get her off the bus, change her clothes, and run her up to school because the pants are long and were dripping wet.

I think I may need to hem them up for her a little bit.

But first, I'm going to run to Wal-Mart and get some long sleeved t-shirts to applique.
I need to make 8 shirts to match those pants today!

The new shirt is more grown-up looking. She's a pretty model.
