So... as I was changing my profile picture on facebook the other day to my Elf picture, it dawned on me that I never showed you guys all the costumes I made for Halloween (including my Elf costume).

I took this one myself, because I wasn't too happy with the ones my husband took... but I've had so many requests for them (most of those coming from my little sister, Judy), so here you go.
The full body shot.
Complete with these hilarious yellow pants I made using a pair of my workout pants as a pattern.

I started cutting them out at 5 o'clock in the evening on Halloween night... yep.... completely dressed except the pants... tracing a pair of my workout pants on top of this yellow fabric in the living room floor in my panties and elf costume. Totally making me think of that I love Lucy episode where she tries to make her own dress and cuts the carpet. {I love "I Love Lucy'}!

Kinda wish I had a picture of that. hahahhaaha... actually no.

They turned out awful and fit even worse, but I still wore them.

And had a blast.
My kids love when I dress up and I love dressing up, too.

You should have seen some of the looks I got on Halloween night. Some of you are probably making them now.

I don't care. I had fun.
I'm a 33 year old woman who loves dressing up.

I took my costume with me to TX for Thanksgiving with the intent of wearing it out shopping on Black Friday (would't that get some laughs!!!), but it was so hot in TX, I just couldn't handle wearing it. I tried it on for my cousin and then slipped it back into the car. Maybe next year.

Anyways, there you have it.
My Halloween costume!

If you want to make your own, I used Simplicity pattern 2542. It ran big!
I think I'll be making another elf costume this week, too, and maybe using Simplicity 2537.  I just used it to make the gingerbread costume for my cousin. It turned out SO cute!

I love it. It's adorable. I wish it wouldn't have been hot I was so ready to laugh about the costume.
