Gingerbread boy!

WARNING: This is going to be the cutest gingerbread boy you've ever seen.

I mean!
Look at that face!

I couldn't resist offering to make his costume for my cousin, Tiffany, who wanted her little ginger boy to be a gingerbread man.

I used pattern Simplicity 2537. It was so fun to make and I was completely happy with the results.

I used fleece and ric rack and massive buttons.

My favorite part, though, is the head part and little bowtie.

Cute, right?!

I made him this little trick or treat bag to match and another little tote bag with a dinosaur for him to take to school.

I never use patterns for tote bags. I just make them up as I go, or in this case, use the fabrics I have on hand to determine the measurements. I love the linings!

I wish I had more time and money to sew for all my extended family members. It's so much fun to see them in things I've made. But with 3 kids of my own, 10 nieces and nephews and countless other cousins... it's impossible to outfit them all in handmade goodies. :(

I only just got to meet this addition to the family this Thanksgiving and he's almost 2 years old. It was such a joy to meet him and spend time with my cousin and her family.

Look how fun she and her husband are. I wish Jerry would do family Halloween costumes.

Maybe he can wear it at Christmas, too! He couldn't be more adorable if he tried.

So cute! I have that pattern, but am not sure I will ever have an occasion to sew one of the costumes. I LOVE that the parents dressed as chefs, too cute!
